God’s Time Table for Man

Breifly, Here is God’s Timeline

Let us now look at the first picture in the Bible and the one learned men feel is the most significant to understanding Gods time table for man.

When God created the Heavens and the Earth, He also created Time. One evening and one morning each day. This is how we know it is 24 hours and not thousands of years. Gen. 1:5

Before time was eternity and after time will be eternity again.

We see on the second day He divided the waters and made the firmament. Gen. 1:6-8

On the third day, He created plant life and this is significant. Gen. 1:12-13

For on the fourth day, He created the lesser light (moon) and stars to rule the night, and the greater light to rule the day (Sun). Gen. 1:14-19

This is confirmation of each day being a 24-hour period. Plants must have the sun (photosynthesis) to live and would die quickly without it. God functions within the limitations of natural laws.

Fifth day - birds and fish. Gen. 1:20-23

Sixth day - more creatures and Man (six is the number of man - one short of complete). Gen. 1:24-28

Seventh day - He rested (seven is the number for completion). Why did He rest? Was He tired? Or better yet, why did He take six days? Does God waste Scripture?

Remember what we said earlier? You first take it literally. This is so a child or a brand new believer can receive from the Word. This is the milk of Scripture. But when you are ready for some meat, you look for the pictures it represents.

The whole Tenach (Old Testament) is a picture revealed in the New Testament, only enlightened by the Holy Spirit.

   (Psalm 90:4) “For a thousand years in your sight are like yesterday when it is past.&rdqou;

(Psalm 84:10) “For a day in your courts is better than a thousand.”

(2 Pet 3:8 NKJV) “But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”

What the first and second century learned men taught was that the creation of six literal days was a picture of man’s time on earth (6,000 years) to be followed by 1,000 (Revelation 20:4-6) years of Sabbath - that Messianic Kingdom promised to Abraham 4,000 years ago. But in order to have this, evil has to be destroyed first. This time is called Jacob’s Trouble or the TRIBULATION. Numerous scriptures refer to a time called “the day” or “in that day”.

Here is an interesting revelation: Remember when God told Adam he could eat anything...?

(Gen 2:17 NKJV) “but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”

DIE (#4191 - Gesenius Lexicon) “MUWTH” - physical death inflicted by God.

How long did Adam live? 930 years. He died in the same day; before 1,000 years ended. What other picture can you see by God creating the sun in the fourth day?

(Malachi 4:2) “But to you who fear my name, the Sun of righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings.” (hem of garment)

Notice how “Sun&rquo; is spelled? Just as the Sun was created in the fourth day, it was a picture of Jesus being born at the close of 4000 years.

   Other scriptures to confirm:

(Psalm 84:11) “For the Lord God is a Sun and a Shield”.

(Isaiah 60:19&20 and Revelation 21:23) says the Sun no longer needed in the New Jerusalem, the Lord will be your light.

So... man was created on the sixth day is a picture of the time span from the beginning of time to the resurrection/rapture and is exactly 6,000 years. God only knows for sure but true students of God’s Word can have a real close speculation because this generation is being blessed with more knowledge than any other generation.

(Dan 12:4 NKJV) “But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”

Knowledge (#1847 “DA’ATH”) - discerning or God’s knowledge; NOT (#3045 “YADA”) which is used for knowledge or wit.

(Hosea 4:6 NKJV) “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. (#1847) Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.”

(Hosea 6:6 NKJV) “For I desire mercy and not sacrifice, And the (#1847) knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.”
